Meerut: Way ahead in the development race, Gautam Budh Nagar district has been accorded a development index of 413.03 in an official survey, followed by Ghaziabad, Meerut, Kanpur and Lucknow. The survey carried out across all the districts of the State by the UP Planning Department has taken 29 main factors like per capita income, education and industry into consideration. It gave Gautam Budh Nagar, which houses Noida and Greater Noida, a development index of 413.03 followed by Ghaziabad - 183.25, Meerut - 149.86, Kanpur City - 144.27, Lucknow - 135.20 and Muzaffarnagar 131.11.
