GURGAON: At least five unidentified persons in the guise of advocates gunned down an under-trial prisoner on the court premises here on Wednesday. A hunt has been launched for the accused. According to the police, the incident took place around 10-30 a.m. when Dharambir Singh of Ullahabad village was being taken to court for appearance in a case. Four persons dressed as advocates whipped out firearms and shot at him twice. They also fired in the air.While the accused fled in a Maruti-800 car, Dharambir was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. At least 18 cases of murder, attempt-to-murder and extortion had been registered against him and he had been acquitted in eight cases.
