Broadcasting awards for DD, NDTV

New Delhi: Doordarshan and NDTV are among the winners of the Commonwealth Broadcasting Awards for the year 2006.

Doordarshan bagged the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association-World Bank Award for Programmes on Development Issues for its piece `From Fallows to Food Baskets' produced by Doordarshan, Hyderabad. NDTV won the award for the Best Innovative Engineering. It also received a commendation certificate for its new feature titled `Kidneys for Sale'. Doordarshan also won the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association-UNICEF Award for Children's Programme for its TV drama `Joymoti'.
