Dr. Reddy's to acquire Betapharm

HYDERABAD: In a major development, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and 3i, Europe's leading private equity house, have entered into a definitive agreement providing for strategic investment by Dr. Reddy's to acquire Betapharm Group, the fourth largest generics company in Germany. The total enterprise value of the deal is pegged at 480 million euros.
