Warrants issued against Shahabuddin's kin

Siwan (Bihar): A local court issued arrest warrants against the wife, father and brother of jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Mohammad Shahabuddin on Thursday under different sections of the Arms Act.

Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Komal Ram issued the warrants after hearing arguments of the prosecution and the accused.

According to the prosecution, all the accused were charged with violations of different sections of the Arms Act by not depositing their firearms with the appropriate authorities even after the directives issued in this regard by the then District Magistrate of Siwan, C.K. Anil. FIRs were lodged at the Hussainganj station on current Siwan DM's directive. — UNI
