List of 600 properties on DDA website

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Development Authority on Thursday placed on its website, ddadelhi.org.in, the complete list of all the nearly 600 properties in its area which it had found to be violating the building by-laws.

The spokesperson of DDA, Neemo Dhar, said it was around 3 p.m. that the complete list was placed on the site. The list has on it properties in Rohini, Narela, Kailash Hills, Mandakini, Paschim Vihar and various other colonies.

The move to place the list of those violating the law comes in the wake of the Delhi High Court's observation in the demolition case in which it had said that like MCD, which had placed a list of over 18,000 properties that had violated the norms, DDA should also carry out a similar exercise.

Two Jal Board employees held

NEW DELHI: Two employees of the Delhi Jal Board have been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Branch of the Delhi Government for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe from a person to clear his outstanding bills and restoring the water connection of his house.

Two Bangladeshi nationals arrested

NEW DELHI: Two Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested by the North-East Delhi police for allegedly possessing more than 90 kg of narcotic drugs.

According to the police, the accused, Mohammad Hafizul and Aazim, were arrested at Gokulpuri in North-East Delhi on Wednesday. They were carrying 91 kg of marijuana in five gunny bags. The police said the accused were working as couriers for an alleged drug peddler, Bachchu.

JNU councillor accused of sexual harassment

NEW DELHI: A Students' Federation of India (SFI) councillor of Jawaharlal Nehru University's School of Social Sciences has been accused of sexual harassment by a fellow-student.

The girl filed a complaint with the Gender Sensitisation Committee Against Sexual Harassment (GSCASH) on February 11, following which an enquiry has been initiated. The councillor reportedly has been accused of making sexual advances towards her.

Conference on prenatal diagnosis

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Society for Prenatal Diagnosis and Therapy is hosting the eighth National Conference of the Indian Society for Prenatal Diagnosis and Therapy at Habitat Centre here from this Friday.
