MUMBAI: England's cricket team's preparations for the 2006 tour to India will commence with an unusual three-day game against Cricket Club of India President XI at CCI from February 18-20. According to England team management, all 16 players present in Mumbai will get a chance to bat and bowl. The home squad will also be doing the same, leading to the contest turning into a sort of training session for the visitors. Wasim Jaffer is a notable absentee from the CCI select line-up. Karnataka's attacking batsman Robin Uttappa, Jammu & Kashmir's pace bowler Abid Nabi and rookie fast bowler Munish Sharma from Madhya Pradesh are outstation players in the squad. Mumbai Ranji skipper Nilesh Kulkarni is named skipper. The teams: England: Michael Vaughan (captain), Ian Bell, Paul Collingwood, Andrew Flintoff, Ashley Giles, Stephen Harmison, Matthew Hoggard, Geraint Jones, Simon Jones, Monty Panesar, Kevin Pietersen, Liam Plunkett, Matthew Prior, Andrew Strauss, Marcus Trescothick, Shaun Udal.
