Call to dismiss Government

PONDICHERRY: Founder of the Puduchery Munnetra Congress (PMC) P. Kannan, called upon the Centre to intervene immediately and dismiss the Rangasamy-led Congress government here, as the "some private hotels" holding objectionable dance shows had been exposed by a privately managed television company. But the hotels were functionng with impunity and there was total absence of intervention by the Government.

Nursing students take out rally

Students of B.Sc nursing course of a privately run medical college at Krimambakkam near here took out a rally on Friday in response to the call given by the Students Federation of India, urging the Government to accommodate them in an institution so that they could pursue their course and to take the University examinations.
