MANGALORE: The 26th edition of Incident, the annual inter-collegiate festival of the National Institute of Technology - Karnataka, will get under way on the NIT-K campus at Srinivasnagar near here from March 1. A press release from Vishal Agarwal, student convener of Incident 2006 said that based on the response to its silver jubilee edition, the organisers have scaled up the events this year. Beach events, which were a hit with the participating colleges last year, is being held on a much bigger scale this year. Besides, there will be literary events, cultural shows and ramp and dance performances. "Incident will be five days of pure, unadulterated fun, and everyone is invited to the party," Mr. Agarwal said. Rock band Euphoria will be the star attraction of Incident 2006, which is expected to attract entries from 80 colleges. The event is sponsored by Indian Oil Corporation, Chowgule Group, TCS, State Bank and Ideal Ice Creams. The Hindu is the media partner for the event.
