HYDERABAD: The Government has sanctioned Rs. 7.5 crores for Pratibha awardees, students who excel in public service examinations such as Intermediate, CBSE, ICSE in Class X and XII. This includes arrears to be paid to awardees for 2004-05 and 2005-06. A total of 1,020 students have been selected for awards in 2005. The list of eligible candidates and the amounts for the year 2004-05 and 2005-06 is on the website -www.cie.ap.govt.in. Lists of eligible candidates for awards in 2005-06 has been prepared and is with District Vocational Education Officers. Eligible candidates may approach the District Vocational Officers concerned if they find any discrepancy with regard to caste/merit/date of birth/marks before February 22. Applications have also been invited from physically challenged candidates who passed IPE 2005 with highest mark/merit (above 60 per cent). Applications should reach the Office of the Commissioner Intermediate Education on or before February 22. The duration and amount of scholarship is as follows: IPE/equivalent courses in CBSE /ICSE for two years - Rs. 5000 per year. For non-professional undergraduate courses for three years - Rs.10,000 per year and Rs. 15,000 per year for post graduation.
