You lose some, you win some... .
FALTU
(At PVR Saket)
It has been some time coming, but it has been worth it. Arindam Chaudhuri, who lost quite a few points with his directorial debut with "Rok Sako To Rok Lo", wins back a few through this venture directed for him by Anjan Das.
A Bengali film with English subtitles, it could have done with a better title.
Apparently the word here is used for a child whose lineage is often questioned.
The film is a moving saga of a boy's search for his roots following the discovery that his was not the normal birth in a wedlock.
The film moves slowly but eloquently.
It has traces of "Mathrubhoomi" in its cutting edge depiction, but would have been a better essay with greater powers of narration.
