BANGALORE: The expansion of the coalition Ministry has caused heartburn among many aspirants who have been left out. Among them are the former Ministers B. Satyanarayana, A. Srinivas, Merajuddin Patel, and the MLAs Mahima Patel and G.T. Deve Gowda of the Janata Dal (Secular) and Yogish Bhat, Visveshwara Hegde Kageri, G. Basavanappa and Shakuntala Shetty of the BJP. It is stated that Mr. Basavanappa was not inducted into the Ministry because there are already three Ministers from Shimoga: Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, K.S. Eshwarappa and D.H. Shankara- murthy. Mr. Yediyurappa has said that the party will induct women in the next round of expansion. It is learnt that Ms. Shakuntala Shetty's name was withdrawn at the last minute to accommodate B. Nagaraj Shetty.
