Big win for Indian Seniors

MANGALORE: The India senior basketball team preparing for the upcoming Melbourne Commonwealth Games scored a convincing 88-45 team over Karnataka in an exhibition match played on the newly laid wooden flooring at the U. Srinivas Mallya Indoor Stadium here on Saturday.

The match also marked the inauguration of the newly-laid facility, making Mangalore the second district headquarters after Bangalore to possess such sports infrastructure.

The scores: India Seniors 88 (Muralikrishna 19, Prideep Rai 16, Jagdeep Singh 10) bt Karnataka 45 (Srinivas Gowda 11, Umashankar 10). — Staff Reporter
