Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: "Hello Suresh, are you there immediately? Using a new technology young entrepreneurs have started a company, NowPos, where voice mail can be sent. It is quite a good innovation," said Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy creating history as he launched world's first voice mail service here on Saturday.

The message was sent to none other than Speaker, K. R. Suresh Reddy, who promptly replied congratulating Dr. Reddy on the voice mail.

"Using this facility, people of AP can now become close to you," he said amid applause from the gathering, which watched the two dignitaries exchanging voice emails. The new facility has been made possible by NowPos Online Services Private Limited, a Hyderabad-based startup. The company launched "www.nowpos.com", a nexgen web-based e-mailing paradigm based on a patent-applied voice emailing service. It has been conceptualised, developed and patented by NowPos.

All one has to do is to register at "www.nowpos.cpm" to access this voice mail service. Global consultant Frost & Sullivan chose NowPos as one of 20 top broadbrand innovations in Asia Pacific and described it as a coolest bridge in time internet space. After logging on to NowPos, currently a free service, one needs to have a headphone with speaker facility to send and receive voice mails.
