Bangalore: Immersed blissfully in his immaculate violin play, the travelling musician struck the right chord. Ensconced in their seats, Sunny Sunday's BMTC passengers let the tunes dance inside the bus. Beyond the musician's rugged looks, the rhythms of his magical melodies transformed the bus's mundane interiors. He was no Bryan Adams. But he had a fan following much like that of Adams in that little moving space. Struggling to move in that jerking, mobile space, the musician's four-year-old daughter thrust her tender hands for small coins. The melodies had touched the passengers' hearts. The innocent looks of the girl had them search for coins. Early in her life, the girl was learning the ropes fast. Resting his feet high above, the yuppy Bangalorean sat on the backseat. His head firmly stuck between the walkman's hearing aids, he was back in Adams's land. The travelling musician and the girl were too mundane for his tastes. He was far away in his past, the high-voltage concert where he had a blast with his friends. Bryan Adams, the king of pop rock, ruled the traveller's musical kingdom. The walkman was his messenger, and Adams his message. The travelling musician had learnt his music well. His mastery over melodies new and old was supreme. He was one big contemporary singer. Dishevelled in looks, the man knew the tricks. Far away from the play-home, his daughter was proving a good learner too.
