Poppy Jeba Malar shines

VIRUDHUNAGAR: M. Poppy Jeba Malar of Moderator Gnanadasan Polytechnic College, Nagercoil, won the individual championship while Government Polytechnic College for Women, Madurai, won the over-all championship in the State inter-polytechnic college women's athletics and games meet at the college ground here on Sunday.

The results (winners only): 100m: Deepthi Mol (G.P.T.C. CBE); 200m: I. Akila (M.P.T. Rasipuram); 400m: M. Poppy Jeba Malar (M.G.P.T.C. Nagarcoil). 800m: M. Poppy Jeba Malar; 1500m: 1. M. Yazhini (G.P.T.C.W. MDU); Long Jump: M. Poppy Jeba Malar; Highjump: P. Mouna (Muthayammal P.T.C); Shotput: N. Elavarasi (G.P.T.C.W. MDU); Javelin: P. Anbukarasi (Dr. Dharmambal P.T.C. Chennai). 4x100m relay: P.N.R.M. P.T.C. Trichy. 100m hurdles: Poppy Jeba Malar.
