Promoting keyhole surgeries

CHENNAI: To celebrate their Founders Day, Miot Hospitals recently launched an awareness campaign on keyhole surgeries.

Also called minimally invasive surgery (MIS) or laparoscopic or endoscopic surgery (depending on the equipment used), the procedure involves but minimal pain, minimal scars, a short hospital stay and quick recovery, according to P.V.A. Mohandas, managing director, Miot Hospitals.
