SPB at his best for a social cause

CHENNAI: S.P. Balasubramaniam was the centre of attraction at the musical programme conducted by the Inner Wheel Club of Madras South on Friday evening.

The programme took the audience 40 years down memory lane of SPB's playback singing career.

He sang `Thene Thenpandi Mene ... ', `Padu Nilave ... ' and `Ayiram Nilave Vaa ... ' along with female singers Harini, Sindhavi and Srilekha Parthasarathy.

RVR Thayanban's `Pallavi' orchestra provided the musical accompaniment for the songs.

Community service

The programme was organised in aid of school infrastructure and community service projects of the Inner Wheel Club.
