Awareness campaign on traffic rules, drug abuse

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: About 200 students of Bhavan's Rajaji Vidyashram held an awareness campaign in front of the school on Kilpauk Garden Road on Wednesday.

They carried placards to drive home messages about obeying traffic rules, wearing helmets, the ills of tobacco, drugs and alcohol, the need to dress appropriately, hygiene, child abuse, road safety, and rainwater harvesting.

R. Nagarajan, former chief general manager of State Bank of India, Chennai Circle, spoke about the social issues affecting youngsters.
