Gujarat team shows interest in ORR project

HYDERABAD: A team of officials led by Gujarat Minister for Urban Development and Urban Housing I.K. Jadeja visited the city, and lauded the efforts of the State Government to ensure sustainable urban development with world class infrastructure.

The 19-member team studied developmental projects in the MCH and the functioning of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, HUDA, and the Housing Board between February 16 and 18.

The team was impressed with Singapore and Malaysian townships at Pocharam and Kukatpally and evinced interest in the Outer Ring Road project.

Right to Info Act

At the Centre for Good Governance, a presentation was arranged on various reforms and projects with special reference to the Right to Information Act apart from an interaction with senior officials.

Earlier, the team visited Langer Houz Lake Development Park, Lumbini Park, Laserium, Necklace Road, Mind Space, Info City at Madhapur and the international airport site at Shamshabad.
