HYDERABAD: Alwal Club defeated HCL Colony 2-0 in the Ranga Reddy district football league championship at Valerian Grounds (Bolarum) here on Monday. Raghuveer and Rosier struck once in each session for the winner. In another match, Kamala Nehru Nagar Club recorded a 2-0 win over YMDA with Vikram and Sailesh being the scorers. Valluvarnagar Club got a walk-over from Bhavan's Ramakrishna Vidyalaya.
Big win for Raju CC
Raju's Sr. CC scored a nine-wicket win against Red Rose in the Hyderabad district annual league cricket championship here. The scores: Red Rose CC 192 in 32.4 overs (Bharath 43, B. Rahul four for 12) lost to Raju's Sr CC 194 for one in 29.4 overs (Mohith 121 not out). Warriors CC 166 in 33.5 overs (Ashrit Raj four for six) lost to International Schools 168 for three in 26.2 overs (Ashrith Raj 65).

Triniti warded off second set challenge from HSBC to record a 25-7, 21-25, 25-19 win against HSBC in the final of the HYSEA volleyball tournament, sonsored by Innominds Software Pvt Ltd, at RRC Grounds here.

Niharika steals show
Five-year-old Niharika was declared the most promising youngster in the State open martial arts championshp at Sports Coaching Foundation (Masab Tank) here. About 500 participated. MCH swimming pools
to open from March 1
Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad informed that the swimming pools at Secunderabad and Moghalpura will be opened for public from March 1. Admission forms will be issued on first-cum-first basis from Feb. 25. For details, contact Director of Sports, S.R. Prem Raj, Tankbund Complex.
