Five killed

Imphal: Five persons, including four Manipur police commando personnel, were killed and two commando personnel injured in an ambush by insurgents in Thoubal district on Monday, official sources said.

The insurgents fired at a police commando force, led by officer-in-charge of Thoubal police commandos unit, Lokhon Singh at Thoubal Bazar complex, about three km south-east of here, at around 4 p.m., the sources said. — PTI
