Joseph Peechanad, entrepreneur, claims to have developed a machine to make paper carry bags. He has succeeded in designing an innovative carry bag that can be used to collect waste from households. The price of each bag will vary from 50 paise to Re.1, depending on the size. The machine, built at a cost of Rs.6,500, can make 200 to 400 covers daily. The paper cover will be ideal for residential colonies as it can help dispose of house waste. He is keen to take up the project on a larger scale and has been giving classes for those interested in the eco-friendly endeavour.
