Chemplast to sub-divide shares

CHENNAI: Chemplast Sanmar has informed BSE that the shareholders of the company have approved the special resolution, sub-dividing each equity share of Rs. 10 into 10 equity shares of Re. 1 each. The company has also got the approval to convert the mercury based caustic soda manufacturing process at Mettur to a membrane based process at an estimated cost of about Rs. 80 crore and set up a coal based power generation plant at an estimated cost of about Rs. 220 crore. Funding plans, including capital raising if any, for these capital expenditure proposals and the 1.70 lakh tonnes PVC project at Cuddalore, are under evaluation by the company.
