Rupee loses ground
MUMBAI:
The Rupee lost fresh ground on Tuesday against the U.S. currency on renewed dollar demand from oil corporates and importers amid rising crude oil prices even as the outlook remains positive due to steady foreign portfolio investment inflows into the buoyant stock market.
In a slightly nervous trading, the rupee ended at 44.42/43 a dollar, a six paise decline from Monday's close of 44.36/37 following a weak start at 44.38/40 per dollar. PTI
