Court stays arrest of Sadhu Yadav
NEW DELHI:
The Delhi High Court has restrained the Vigilance Bureau of Bihar from arresting Sadhu Yadav, Rashtriya Janata Dal Member of Parliament and brother-in-law of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, till March 9 in the multicrore flood relief scam case. Justice S.K. Aggarwal directed the Bureau not to arrest the MP till March 9. However, Mr. Justice Aggarwal directed the RJD leader to surrender before the appropriate court by that day.
The Court had last week stayed his arrest till Monday and issued a notice to the Vigilance Bureau asking it to show cause why Mr. Yadav be not granted anticipatory bail in the case. The Special Judge for Vigilance cases in Patna, R.N. Prasad, had on February 13 issued a non-bailable warrant against Mr. Yadav.
