Women constables to be deployed for patrol duty

KOZHIKODE: Women constables will be deployed for patrol duty in housing colonies in the city. This was stated by Inspector General of Police M.N. Krishnamoorthy at a meeting of representatives of housing colonies called by the police authorities here on Monday.

City Police Commissioner H. Venkatesh was also present at the meeting.

The deployment of women police constables is an attempt to make it easier for women to report crimes to the police.
