Thiruvananthapuram: Three persons named as accused in the Neyyattinkara Bishop House attack case surrendered before the State Crime Branch police here on Tuesday. The accused were identified as D. Prathapan (29), N. Shaji (26) and S. Manoj (24). All are residents of Aralanmoodu. They were produced before the First Class Judicial Magistrate, Neyyatinkara, and remanded to 14 days in judicial custody. Officials said efforts were on to arrest S. Vinod, who has also been named as accused in the case. The Crime Branch had earlier arrested three persons in connection with the attack that occurred in the early hours of October 17, 2005. A security personnel was injured in the attack. The attackers smashed the windscreens of vehicles parked in front of the Bishop's residence and damaged windowpanes. The Bishop was in the residence when the attack took place. However, the gang members could not gain access to his privy chamber on the first floor of the house. Some of the accused in the case had been subjected to a lie detector test at the Karnataka State Forensic Sciences Laboratory in Bangalore.
