KOCHI: The two-day token strike by private bus workers in the city, protesting against the delay on the part of bus operators in giving fair wages, begins on Wednesday. In a press release issued here on Tuesday, Private Bus Thozhilali Federation (AITUC) general secretary Joy Joseph sought the cooperation of all workers to make the strike a success. Even after many meetings, bus owners have taken a negative attitude, the bus workersfederation leader said. Long-distance buses coming to Kochi will stop services at Patalam, Kakkanad, Poothotta, Kumbalam and Kalammukku, on the two days, Mr. Joseph said in the statement.
