Task Force constituted to tackle bird flu

HYDERABAD: The Government has constituted a Task Force headed by principal secretary, Animal Husbandry, Priyadarshi Dash, to effectively tackle the bird flu problem, if reported anywhere in the State.

Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who reviewed the situation here on Tuesday, asked the Task Force to meet daily and monitor the surveillance measures initiated and the health status of the birds together with the market situation relating to poultry products.

The director, Animal Husbandry, L. Mohan, is the Task Force member-convener.

The Chief Minister asked the task force to educate the public about the facts and dispel the unfounded doubts among them.
