C.C.MATHEW Retd Engineer S.C. Rly expired on 21.02.06 at Vellore. Funeral service at D-98 Laavania Court Annanagar East at 3 p.m 24.02.06 followed by burial at Kilpauk Cemetery at 4 p.m. Mourned by wife Vasini, children Rupa, Jiji, Binu and family.

Mrs. DORIS MUTHIAH left to her Heavenly Abode on 22-02-2006 a Prayer Service will be held on Saturday 25th February 2006 at 6 p.m. at CSI Risen Reedeemers Church, United India Colony, Kodambakkam, Opposite Liberty Theatre. Children & Grandchildren.

Dr.K.BHASKARAN, Bangalore-based psychiatrist of international renown, passed away on 13-1-06. A gold medallist from Madras Medical College, he had a brilliant academic career and was a pioneering force in mental health education and institutional reform. Among the many positions he held were: Director, Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi, Director, NIMHANS, Bangalore and adviser in mental health to the Government of India. He was also a Visiting Professor in psychiatry to Pennsylvania University and a consultant to the WHO. He will be remembered as a dynamic teacher, great scholar and therapist beyond compare. Deeply mourned by his loving family.

Mrs. PUSPHASUBRAMANI, 59 yrs, passed away at about 6-30 a.m. on 22-2-2006. She is survived by her husband S.A. Subramani, IAS (Retd). Tel No. 24914730 and son Jayanth.
