CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said here on Wednesday that hardly any family would be left in the State whose children would not get employment opportunity in the next five years as his Government was making concerted efforts to tackle unemployment. Mr. Hooda was addressing a meeting of Congress workers who had stood by him during the days of his political struggle and with whom he had been sharing his joys and sorrows. He apprised them of welfare measures taken by the State Government during its first year in office so far. The ban on recruitments had been lifted and jobs were being advertised, he added. The emphasis was on industrial development which would generate tremendous employment opportunities for the people. He made it clear that the Government would have no role in the rally being organised by the Congress on March 5 at Hissar to highlight the significant achievements made by his regime during its first year in office. A delegation of Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of Zila Parishads also met Mr. Hooda to express their gratitude for empowering Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) in the State.
