HYDERABAD: In a bid to allay fears caused by the bird flu, Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who has turned vegetarian these days, has offered to consume chicken. Interacting with students of the Department of Journalism and Communication, Pune University, on Wednesday, he said there was no need to be scared of bird flu affecting Andhra Pradesh as all the bio-safety measures were being taken, according to a press release from the Chief Minister's Office. Answering a volley of questions from the 33-member student group, he said the Government was determined to provide one-lakh industry-related jobs in the next three years. It would continue to project Andhra Pradesh as the most convenient and favourable investment destination for domestic and international investors. The electricity tariff offered to industries in the State was the lowest. Outlining various initiatives, including the new industrial investment promotion policy 2005-10, Dr. Reddy stated the MoU signed with Brandix and the proposed FAB City.
