Vikramjit Singh takes a three-stroke lead

KOLKATA: A round of two over 74 gave overnight leader Vikramjit Singh a three-stroke lead at six-over 150 at the end of the second round of the all-India seniors and mid-amateur golf championship at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club course here on Thursday.

Lakshman Singh brought in a card of 76 to occupy the second place at 153.

Sudip Chitlangia shot a 76 to continue in the lead at 217 at the end of the third round of the mid-amateur section. Gaurav Ghosh at 242 and Lt. Col. S. D.S. Batth at 252 were placed second and third respectively.

In the super senior category opening round today, T.K. Bose shot a 97 to jump into the lead.

R.N. Singh who tallied 112 was second and B.K. Chaturvedi was third at 118.

Seniors:

Vikramjit Singh 150 (76, 74); Lakshman Singh 153 (77, 76); K.K. Bajoria 155 (80, 75); Ashit Mohan Luthra 157 (79, 78); Ashok Malik 159 (79, 80).

Mid-amateurs:

Sudip Chitlangia 217 (72, 69, 76); Gaurav Ghosh 242 (83, 75, 84); Lt. Col. S.D.S. Batth 252 (77, 90, 85).
