Special Correspondent
PONDICHERRY: Secretary of Pondicherry State committee of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and legislator A Anbalagan has said that the Lt Governor M M. Lakhera's address to the Assembly delivered earlier in the day contained nothing and caused disappointment to the people of the Union Territory. Contents of Lt Governor's address carried only the policy decisions of the government. In a release here, he said that the Congress government had done nothing to implement the poll promises given in 2001. The continued agitation by the Government staff had brought to a grinding halt work in the government departments for a few months now. Instead of initiating steps to mend the poor functioning of the Government, the Lt Governor had for last four months or so remained a mute spectator to all that was happening in the administration. Most part of the address was a mere repetition of what was conveyed on the previous occasion of his address to the Assembly, Anbalagan noted.
