New companies registered

KOCHI: Smart City (Kochi) Infrastructure Private Limited and Air Kerala International Services Limited are among the companies that have been registered in the State recently.

The new company, Smart City, is expected to promote the information city project in Kakkanad and has for its directors Deepak Srinivas Padmanabhan, based in Bangalore, and Jibu John, based in Kochi. The company was incorporated on January 27 and will operate out of the Tapasya IT Building, Infopark.

Air Kerala, a subsidiary of the Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL), has been incorporated with an authorised capital of Rs.200 crores and V.J. Kurien will be its Managing Director. The company was registered on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the total number of companies registered in the State stands at 15,305. Among them are 13,856 private limited companies and 1,449 public companies.
