Speaker takes Nayani to task

Special Correspondent

Senior TRS member rushes into the well, argues with Chair

HYDERABAD: Angered by what he called "unruly behaviour" of former Minister and senior TRS MLA Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy on Thursday warned that he would be named if he failed to restrain himself in future. Mr. Narasimha Reddy rushed into the well, gesticulated and argued with the Chair after his plea to seek a supplementary was not conceded during the question hour. Pulling up the member, the Speaker said that such behaviour would not be accepted and asked TRS floor leader G. Vijayarama Rao to advise the member.

"The tone and tenor in which he is talking has to be disciplined," the Speaker chided. When Mr. Vijayarama Rao said that Mr. Reddy did not use unparliamentary language though he had raised his tone, the Speaker said that his attitude was not in good taste and his behaviour would lower the dignity of the House.
