Power reforms working well: Bharat Lal Meena

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: There is a need to have a forum to redress the grievances of electricity users, said Bharath Lal Meena, Managing Director of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd. and Chairman of all the electricity supply companies (ESCOMS) in the State. Mr. Meena was inaugurating the Karnataka State Electricity Consumers' Forum here on Thursday.

"The reforms that have been introduced in KPTCL and ESCOMs have worked well for the utilities and the users," he said.

He said the employees of the utilities are being trained by newly set up human resource departments.

"Measures that have worked well for Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) have been replicated in the other electricity supply companies," he added.
