Nellore: Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Panabaka Lakshmi has said that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government will constitute a committee with members drawn from various sections of society to control the dreaded AIDS disease. The Minister who participated in a community lunch programme for AIDS patients at the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Nellore, on Thursday, pointed out the need to create awareness among people about the evils of the disease. She regretted that Andhra Pradesh stood first in the country with an estimated 12 lakh AIDS patients. Among those who participated in the community lunch were Collector M. Ravichandra, Joint Collector B. Ramaiah, Allur M.L.A K. Vishnuvardhana Reddyand others
