Power shutdown

Srinagar, Asilmetta Road and Rama Talkies area will go without power from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday owing to maintenance works on the 11 kv Rama Talkies feeder of the 33/11 kv TSR sub-station.

Free medical camp

A free medical check-up for poor children was organised by ETASI-Timpany Social Development Project at its school at Steel City at Pedagantyada. At the camp, inaugurated by the school chairman Ken Gnanakan, 500 children were examined by doctors from the KGH School Unit under the guidance of Superintendent of RCD Hospital N. Subramanayam. Medicines were given away to the children.

Winners of talent test

Students of Sun School have received State and district-level awards in the 13th State-level Science Talent Search Examination 2006's Sir CV Raman Young Genius Awards conducted by Vishwabharathy Foundation on January 22, according to Director Anil Kumar. Anniversary

Sneha Sandhya, a recreation/welfare society for senior citizens, celebrated its second anniversary. National co-ordinator of Lok Satta Jayaprakash Narayan inaugurated the celebration on Wednesday and released a bulletin of the organisation.
