The State Government effects major reshuffle of senior officers

CHENNAI : The State Government on Thursday effected a major reshuffle of police officers in the ranks of IG, DIG and SP and posted new Deputy Commissioners in Chennai city.

M.S. Jaffar Sait, Inspector General of Police, Training, Chennai, is posted as IG, Armed Police, Chennai.

Karunasagar, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Madurai Range, has been posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, South, Greater Chennai, vice C.Sylendra Babu who will be the new DIG, Tiruchi Range.

Kanhu Charan Mahali, JC, Traffic, Greater Chennai, will take over as DIG, Tirunelveli Range, vice Vijaykumar who will be the new JC, Traffic, Greater Chennai. M.Ravi, DIG, Armed Police, Chennai, will be the new DIG, Salem Range.

K.A.Abdul Rahuff is posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Administration, Chennai, vice S.Choodeeswaran who will be the new Deputy Commissioner, Flower Bazaar, Greater Chennai. Mr. Choodeeswaran replaces K.P.Shanmuga Rajeswaran, who has been posted as AIG, Headquarters, Greater Chennai, vice M.Thiagarajan, transferred.

G.Karthikeyan, is posted as SP, Railways, Tiruchi, vice Prem Anand Sinha, who will be the new DC (Traffic), North, Greater Chennai. P.Thamaraikannan, DC, St.Thomas Mount, Greater Chennai, is posted as DC, Mylapore, Greater Chennai, in place of A.Kaliyamoorthy, who will be the new DC, St.Thomas Mount, Greater Chennai.

M.T.Ganesamoorthy, SP, Tiruvannamalai district, is posted as DC, Kilpauk, Greater Chennai, in place of S.Murugan who will be the new SP, Tiruvannamalai district. M.Thiyagarajan, AIG, Headquarters Chennai, is the new SP, Thiruvarur district, vice S.Bhaskaran, who is posted as SP, Idol Wing CID, Chennai.
