Excellence wins awards



MOMENT TO CHERISH: Representatives of Sundaram Fasteners receiving the award in Chennai.

Sundram Fasteners at Aviyur in Virudhunagar district added yet another feather to its illustrious cap when it won the second prize by the Confederation of Indian Industry-Southern Region at the contest for `Leadership and Excellence award in Safety, Health and Environment - 2005.' The services rendered by the company were well acknowledged. Amidst stiff competition among popular companies in the five southern States, Sundram Fasteners came out successfully.

At the end of preliminary rounds, it qualified along with 22 others for the final round, which was held on February 16 and 17. The company was awarded second prize for its effort. Environment Secretary and Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board Chairperson Surjit K. Chaudhury presented the award to Senior General Manager of Sundram Fasteners, K. Raman, and Assistant General Manager (Personnel) M. Ilangovan, at a function in Chennai on February 17.
