Strike hits CUSAT functioning

KOCHI: Functioning of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has been hit following differences between the university authorities and student organisations.

On Thursday, students of the School of Legal Sciences at CUSAT launched an indefinite agitation against the university decision to suspend LLB classes.

The university authorities had suspended LLB classes pointing out that students had been boycotting classes for the last several days. In a communication on Wednesday, the authorities had asked students not to attend classes till a new order was issued. Hosteliers were told to vacate the place immediately. The students held a dharna in front of the administrative building on Thursday in protest against the university decision
