Hartal in Vattiyoorkavu

Thiruvananthapuram: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called a hartal in Vattiyoorkavu in protest against the alleged police action against a party worker. The BJP has accused the local police of `manhandling' Mannamoola Suku, a party activist, during a routine patrol on Thursday. The BJP staged a dharna in front of the police station on Thursday evening. The police have denied the allegation raised by the BJP. — Staff Reporter
