Lorry owners demand waiver of penalty

BANGALORE: The Federation of Karnataka State Lorry Owners and Agents' Association has demanded waiver of penalty for overloading of vehicles carrying consignments such as paddy, sugarcane, vegetables and construction material. Its president G.R. Shanmugappa said there are no weighing facilities where these crops are grown.
