Three teachers die in accident

BANGALORE: Three teachers, two of them women, were killed when the bus by which they were travelling to Mekedaatu fell into a gorge on Doddalahalli-Sangama Road in Chikkajala police station limits near here on Saturday, according to the police.

As many as 25 persons travelling by the bus were injured. In all, 35 staff of Hunasemaranahalli Primary School were travelling by it.

The police said Bhagya (27), Jagadeesh (51) and Pushpa (31) were killed on the spot.

The injured were discharged from the Kanakapura Government hospital after treatment. A case has been taken up against the driver.
