KOCHI: The Ernakulam District Muslim Jamaath Council is organising a meeting here on Wednesday to protest against the Danish cartoons that have attracted Muslim wrath across the world for allegedly denigrating Prophet Muhammed. However, the organisers said they planned no protest rally or demonstration. The meeting would highlight the fact that Prophet Muhammed's teachings had promoted social stability and human virtues. The cartoons had aimed at creating rivalries and splits in society, the council said. All-India Muslim Personal Law Board chairman Maulana Syed Mohammed Rabi Nadvi and general secretary Maulana Syed Nizamudeen will speak at the meeting to be held at the Ernakulam Town Hall.
