Power Minister urged to call meet on wage revision

`CITU trying to sabotage KSEB wage revision'

PALAKKAD: Kerala Electricity Employees' Confederation affiliated to INTUC has demanded Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed to call an urgent meeting of Kerala State Electricity Board and its employees' organisations to discuss the issue of wage revision in the Board.

In a statement here on Sunday Confederation working president C. Ramachandran Nair and general secretary Sajeev Janardhanan said that the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) is trying to sabotage the wage revision in the KSEB before the expiry of the term of the United Democratic Front (UDF) Government led by the Congress in the State.

They said that the Confederation will launch an agitation against the CITU for their alleged attempt to delay the wage revision in the Board.

Meanwhile, the Palakkad district conference of the Confederation here on Sunday has urged Chief Minister Oomman Chandy and the Electricity Minister to implement wage revision for the employees of the Electricity Board since the State government employees were given wage revision.
