MADURAI: The battle between Lillys and Temple City FC failed to take off, as the latter did not turn up for its Madurai District Football Association `B' division league match here on Sunday. On Saturday, Vikram Engineering College posted an emphatic 6-0 victory over Victoria FC with Mohan (2), Kennedy Pandiarajan, Askar Ali, Bhimaraj and Vijendran scoring.

M.S.S. Waqf Board College, which finished with 19 points, clinched the title while Vikram Engg. (16) was runner-up.

Final placings:

`B' division: 1. M.S.S. Wakf Board College (19 points), 2. Vikram Engg. (16), 3. Temple City (12), 4. Pandian Saraswathy Yadava Engg. (9), 5. Lillys (8), 6. Victoria (6), 7. Railway Institute (5) and 8. Senthilkumar Memorial (4).

`C' division: 1. Le Chatelier (15), 2. High Court FC 15 (Le Chatelier placed first on better goal difference), 3. Latha Mathavan Polytechnic (12), 4. Ismail Memorial (11), 5. Kittu XI (10), 6. Golden Star (6), 7. Vaigai (5) and 8. Muthu Memorial (1). — Sports Correspondent
