Defence plea for list of CBI witnesses rejected

RAE BARELI: The designated court hearing the Ayodhya demolition case against BJP leader L.K. Advani and seven others on Monday rejected the defence application seeking a list of CBI witnesses.

Special CBI Judge V.K. Singh, who earlier reserved his order, rejected the application. He, however, allowed the defence a month's time to file a revision petition in the Allahabad High Court.

The CBI counsel opposed the application saying there was no provision that required the agency to furnish the list. — PTI
